Principal's Message
Dear Parents:
It’s hard to believe that a new school year is just around the corner. Summer has flown by and many of you have already stopped by the office or called regarding school clothes. There will be no change in the dress code this year. Uniforms continue to be mandatory for students attending Barbara Webster School. They may be purchased at K-Mart, Factory 2 U, Mervyns, Target, Sears or JCPenney.
Uniforms include white or light blue collared shirts with navy blue pants, shorts, skirts or jumpers. Shoes with closed heels and toes are preferred. If sandals are worn, they must have a strap at the back and across the toes to hold them securely to the foot. For safety reasons, platform shoes, thong-type sandals and shoes with wheels or skates are not permitted.
Bell Schedule/Banking of Minutes: Currently, the District is finalizing the bell schedule and has signed a tentative agreement with the teachers’ union regarding Banking of Minutes on Wednesdays. A copy of the schedule will be included in your registration packet. Once the schedule has been established, please keep in mind that students should not be on campus more than 30 minutes before school, and then only if they are going to eat breakfast.
Enrollment: Students who are not present the first day of school, August 27th, will be considered “no shows” and will be dropped from the class to which they were assigned. Their space will be offered to a student on the waiting list.

Registration Packets:
- All students planning to attend Barbara Webster must complete a registration packet including special ed, new kinder students and any students transferring from other schools.
- Registration packets will be available for pick up on Monday, August 11, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m
- Completed packets need to be returned on Monday, August 18, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Class lists will be posted on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 after 6:00 p.m.

Estimados Padres:
Es dificil creer que otro año esta a punto de empezar otra vez. El verano se ha pasado tan rapido y muchos de ustedes han pasado por la oficina o han hablado preguntando de la ropa. No habra ningun cambio en la poliza de vestir este año. Los uniformes siguen siendo mandatorios para los estudiantes asistiendo a la escuela Barbara Webster. Se pueden comprar en K-Mart, Big Lots, Mervyns, Target, Sears o JCPenney. Los uniformes consisten de blusas o camizas color blanco o azul cielo con los pantalones, shorts, faldas, falda/shorts, o jumpers de color azul marino. Los zapatos con los dedos y talones tapados son preferidos. Si usan sandalias deben de tener una correa atrás del pie, deteniendo los dedos de enfrente. Por razones de seguridad, los zapatos de plataforma, y sandalias de playa donde nomas se mete el pie, o zapatos con patines o rueditas de bajo de los zapatos NO seran permitidos.
Horario de Campanas y de los Miercoles: El distrito esta a punto de finalizar el horario de las campanas, tanto como el horario del Miercoles. Después de que se determine el horario, por favor tengan en mente que los estudiantes no deben de estar en la escuela mas que 30 minutos antes del comienzo de clases. Y solo si van a desayunar se les permitira estar en la escuela 30 minutos antes de que suene la campana.
Matriculacion: Estudiantes que no esten presente el primer dia de clases, el 28 de agosto, perderan su lugar y su espacio se le dara a un estudiante en la lista de espera.
Paquetes de Registracion:
Todos los padres de estudiantes planeando asistir a Barbara Webster deben completar un paquete de registracion. Incluyendo alumnos de educación especial, nuevos estudiantes empezando el kinder, y todos los estudiantes regresando a la escuela.
Los paquetes de registracion se podran recoger el Lunes, 11 de Agosto, 2008 de las 8:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m.
Paquetes completados se regresaran el Lunes, 18 de Agosto, 2008 de las 8:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m.
Las listas estaran disponibles el Martes 26 de Agosto, 2008 despues de las 6:00 p.m.
